Rob A. Myers

Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Director, Coach, Choreographer, Teacher, Student, and Enthusiast - all words used to best describe Rob Myers. Brother Myers is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida, where he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public & Cultural Communication and a Master of Arts in Community Leadership from Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received dance training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African Dance Forms, Choreography, and Dance Improvisation techniques in high school and college.
Through his teaching and coaching efforts, Rob’s choreographic works have garnered top honors and special recognition. His previous dance works include Super Bowl XXXIII (33), the African American Dance Review, Stage Ready Productions, Georgia Tech, Spelman College, the World Health & Beauty Show, and Miss Black Georgia/Miss Black Georgia Teen Organization, along with extensive competitive dance studio work in the areas of Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, African and Musical Theatre. He served as Adjunct Dance Faculty in the Theatre Department at Greensboro College. His

philanthropic works include the United Way, where he received a distinction in Project Board Development, St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, the Joshua House, Ronald McDonald House, NAACP, Utah Board of Education, Habitat for Humanity, Walk A Mile in My Shoes. He was also a member of the 2019 class of Project Board Development for United Way of High Point and the 2024 cohort of Leadership Winston-Salem.

 

Rob is a devoted husband to Dr. Tasha M. Myers and an enthusiastic father to his son, Jackson, and daughter, Taj. He is a passionate enrollment manager within higher education, through which he helps usher in the next batch of dynamic and talented, world-class arts professionals and change agents.

 

He is known in Kappa Land as "The Kurator," a Fall 2022 initiate of the Winston-Salem (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also the author of "Rob Myers is the Kitchen Sink Cook," a cookbook self-published in 2020, which is the basis of his streaming cooking show, The Kitchen Sink Cook.

 

Rob Myers is a member of Union Baptist Church, which is led by Bishop Sir Walter Mack and First Lady Kim Mack. At Union, he offers his gifts to the XYZ Choir, Young Adults Ministry, Couples Ministry, Culinary Ministry, STEAM & Read Program, and The Greek Council. Though his resume would suggest otherwise, Rob Myers is an extreme introvert, but he never lets that prohibit him from pouring into the lives of others. His prayer is always to be a blessing to those he encounters and a model for how men should show up and serve in their communities.
